We are currently experiencing a technical issue that is affecting how course information is showing in Moodle. Below is information for students and instructors regarding what this issue is impacting and what you should do regarding it.
Students
Some students may notice:
- A course is missing in Moodle.
- A course appears that you dropped.
- Instructor information does not look correct.
- Issues accessing Moodle or specific courses.
This is happening because Moodle is not fully syncing with our registration system right now. Your registration information in Self-Service is correct. Once the issue is fixed, Moodle will automatically update.
What you should do:
- Check your schedule in Self-Service to confirm your registered courses.
- If you need to contact your instructor, use the contact information listed in Self-Service.
- Please do not re-register or drop courses because of what you see in Moodle.
- If your course is not visible yet, your access will become available once the system updates.
Our IT team is actively working on the issue. We do not yet have a timeline for when it will be resolved, but we will share updates as soon as they are available. Thank you for your patience as we work to fix this.
Faculty and Staff
We are currently experiencing a syncing issue between our enrollment system (Self-Service) and Moodle. This means that student enrollments and instructor assignments in Moodle may be out of date or incorrect.
At this time:
- Self-Service reflects the most accurate enrollment and course information.
- Moodle course rosters, instructor access, and newly added courses may not yet match Self-Service.
- Changes made recently in Self-Service may not appear in Moodle until the issue is resolved.
Our IT team is actively working to correct the issue. Unfortunately, we do not yet have an estimated time for resolution.
What you can do:
- Use Self-Service as the source of truth for course rosters and assignments.
- If students report missing courses in Moodle, reassure them that the issue is system-related and being addressed.
- If you need to contact students or confirm enrollment, use the contact information in Self-Service.
- Please avoid submitting duplicate support tickets unless there is a new or urgent issue.
We understand this is frustrating, especially at the start of the semester, and appreciate your patience. We will share an update as soon as more information is available. Thank you for your patience as we work to fix this.
